Very mild into midweek with Wednesday likely to see showers in the D.C. region.

Very warm weather continues for three more days, with highs soaring about 20 degrees higher than normal. The nights are mild, too, remaining above freezing through the workweek. Clouds and patchy morning fog give the start of this shortened workweek a dreary feel. Temperatures surge into the mid- to upper 60s for a spring-like feel. A thunderstorm is even possible; however, most areas should avoid significant rainfall. The weekend features partly to mostly sunny skies with nearly normal highs in the 40s and low 50s.
