These Lake Erie mansions were covered in ice by the bomb cyclone. The images are bizarre.

Fort Erie is on the eastern edge of Lake Erie. The storm delivered punishingly cold temperatures, with overnight lows dropping into the single digits. Residents describe huge waves cresting over the Lake Erie breakwall and freezing to the sides of houses. Environment Canada issued warnings and special weather statements for much of Canada. Ice houses have become more than a local spectacle in Crystal Beach, Ontario.

A flood watch has been issued for parts of the Niagara Peninsula, including Fort Erie. The storm also dumped huge amounts of snow on the region.
