Sunshine and lighter winds give way to mostly overcast conditions today and most of tomorrow. Temperatures will warm up into Thursday as rain arrives, but a powerful Arctic front blasts the area on Friday. Holiday weekend is expected to be dry but windy and unseasonably cold. Thursday should be mostly plain rain with temperatures rising into the mid- to upper 40s. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are quite cold with mostly sunny skies. Friday night is bone-chilling with subzero wind chills and snow showers or flurries possible.
