Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.) and two staffers were killed in a car crash Wednesday afternoon. She was the top Republican on the House Ethics Committee and was a member of the House Ways and Means Committee. The flags at the U.S. Capitol are to be flown at half-staff in memory of the Republican lawmaker. Walorki was elected to Congress in 2012 and had served in the 2nd Congressional District since 2013 representing Indiana's 2nd congressional district. The driver of a northbound vehicle traveled left of the centerline and collided head-on with the vehicle carrying Walorkski and her two staffers, the sheriff’s office said. The other vehicle, Edith Schmucker, 56, was pronounced dead at the scene.
