Ketanji Brown Jackson, a justice of the supreme court, is penning a book.

Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is writing a memoir. The book, “Lovely One,” will be a “transparent accounting of what it takes to rise through the ranks,” she says. Jackson is the first Black woman to serve on the high court. Jackson’s memoir will trace her path from childhood to becoming the first Black, female justice. Book-writing payments are not considered “outside earned income,” allowing them to enter agreements with publishers.
