GOP’s new voting limitations in Ohio are “clear as mud,” which is concerning.

Ohio officials, advocates and voters are still trying to make sense of the new voter ID law. One county office that distributed thousands of veteran ID cards realized they will no longer be accepted for registering to vote. Legal challenges of the law could further complicate the situation. “Every day there’s something that comes out that we are learning more about,” an Ohio voting official says. The new law restricts the ID of former military members registering to vote to just a DVA-issued ID. No state official reached out to the county office before or after the discovery.
