Republicans have shown a troubling lack of comprehension of our founding document. Article II, Section 1, Clause 7: “The President shall, at stated Times, receive for his Services, a Compensation”. Donald Trump failed to disclose that he had a loan with Daewoo while running for president. The Constitution’s Article II, Section 1, Clause 8 reads: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States”. Democrats can alter the Supreme Court’s appellate jurisdiction if they win the House and White House in 2024.
