Virginia’s top prosecutor is broadening his investigation into Fairfax County schools. Attorney General Jason S. Miyares says he is aware of at least three high schools that may have withheld awards. Two high schools apologized over the weekend for failing to notify students who had been commended. Some parents allege racial bias because students of color are the majority at the D.C.-area school. Officials say notification was accidental and a “one-time” error.
