Faculty peers claim that the Florida surgeon general utilized poor vaccination science.

A report says Joseph Ladapo may have violated university research integrity rules. A task force cites numerous deficiencies in the analysis Ladapo used to justify his vaccine recommendation. The report is the first formal challenge to Ladapo from his academic colleagues. University of Florida declines to investigate because Ladapo is a state official. The University of Florida’s Surgeon General may have violated his role as a university professor, task force says.

The panel does not suggest he committed classic research misconduct, such as falsifying data or plagiarism. But it argues that he should be held to the same standards as a tenured professor.
