After a judge overturned his murder conviction, Georgetown hired Adnan Syed.

Adnan Syed is free after a court vacated his murder conviction. A year ago, he was about to start classes at Georgetown University in Maryland. He has landed a full-time job with the university’s Prisons and Justice Initiative. The case was featured in the true-crime podcast “Serial”. Ed Syed was convicted of killing his ex-girlfriend, Hae Min Lee, 18 years ago.

Prosecutors dropped the criminal case against him in October. In September, he was photographed leaving court carrying a binder with a Georgetown bulldog sticker.
